African Continental Free Trade Area Reports Strong First-Year Growth
Intra-African trade has risen by 15% following reduction of custom tariffs.
A New Milestone for Regional Commerce
The secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) has announced a significant boost in cross-border trade transactions over the past twelve months. The removal of custom bottlenecks and standardized logistics operations have enabled small businesses to expand their reach across regional markets.
Economists predict that if the current growth trajectory holds, the trade agreement will lift millions out of extreme poverty by 2030.
